Executive Function Support

Offered in-person or virtual

What is executive functioning?

Think of executive functioning as the skills we use to navigate the path from “I need to do something” to “I did it.”

Knowing where you want to go is only part of getting there. You also need to know where to start, stay on track, manage the steps along the way, and adjust when something gets in your path.

Executive function skills help kids do this everyday. At home, they support routines, independence, managing emotions, completing responsibilities, and moving through transitions. In the classroom, they help kids get started, stay focused, manage their time and materials, solve problems, and complete their work.

These skills don’t always develop automatically. They can be taught, practiced, and strengthened.

Behind every struggle is a missing skill.

RAD Executive Function Classes are offered through a monthly membership for kids and teens.

Members attend small-group classes focused on specific executive function skills, including organization, time management, planning, getting started, focus, problem-solving, flexibility, and emotional regulation.

Classes are grouped by age and designed to give kids ongoing opportunities to learn strategies, practice skills, and apply them to everyday life.
